We stayed in WoodSpring Suites Chicago Tinley Park, ILL as our first hotel arriving off the plane from Australia to the USA.
I don’t actually know what I paid for my stay here, as my DC was still not working. We stayed in a double queen bed room. The room was clean, and but the airconditioning was not as noisy as some others I have stayed in recently. There was an in-room coffee maker that I didn’t use, and a bar fridge with freezer and a microwave. As this was a long term stay branch of the chain, it had a stove top (electric). The room only came with a chopping board, so it necessitated a trip to GoodWill to get some pans to cook with.
The shower was lukewarm and unsatisfying after 48 hours of travel. The water flow was uncomfortable and piercing jet-like. We weren’t provided with soap, so we went and bought our own. Additionally we didn’t have a bathmat, and the floor was absolutely sodden in the bathroom.
The wifi was fine, nothing exceptional. There was a rule that each room could only have one device connected at a time, which was enforced by having to enter your room number when you signed in. We accidentally got around this when I entered the wrong room number by accident. Sorry room 311!
No breakfast, no pool and nothing remarkable about it. It was somewhere to rest our heads.
