It&#8217;s more me wanting to do this, I manage all of the finances, but\u00a0Eli is also on board.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 6:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">I can do this!<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Today you should track your spending and work out your net income (after taxes etc). Also you should work out your net worth. I now have a year&#8217;s worth of data on our net income and set expenses (such as gas, electricity etc), but haven&#8217;t calculated my net worth. I think if we had more assets, this would become more important for me.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Day 7:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">I will eat <i>everything<\/i> I buy at the grocery store!<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>I try, I try. I&#8217;m not sure I succeed always, there are always a couple of mouldy things out of a punnet that I lose.\u00a0Every time I say &#8216;reduce waste&#8217;, I knuckle down and end up with a freezer full of things to eat! I&#8217;m still working through that&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Day 8:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Establish shared life goals with your partner.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>We both love LEGO &#8211; spending our spare cash flow on that is something we agree on. We see ourselves upgrading to a slightly bigger home in the future, but only after we have already completely paid out our current mortgage. We try to talk about it often, and I try not to worry about it! We see money differently &#8211; she sees assets, and I see debts, so together we make a good team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In other news, at the moment we have a house guest from the USA who is going to go to Brickvention.
