My first was on Aussie Farmers Direct, and I was really disappointed. My second was on Organic Angels, which had great produce but was pretty expensive. My third was on Ceres Fair Food, which had great variety in its produce. Fourth was from the earth fruitnveg, who had great variety and great customer service. Fifth was The Organic Empire, which was completely boring. Greenline Organic was equal to all of the other options, with great variety and good produce. The Organic Butler wanted to be fancy, but failed for providing quality.

Western Fresh n Green was a new one I found… and it turned out to be the same as from the earth fruitnveg. Western Fresh n Green just uses Michael to deliver it to the Eastern side. I’m not surprised – I checked out the box online before ordering, and loved the variety I would be getting. I’m happy about getting a box again that I trust to be good, even if it briefly upsets my aim of testing all of the delivery services available.

Small Fruit Box – $24.99 + delivery charge ($5)

6x apples

1x red grapes

2x nashi pears

3x kiwi fruit

6x bananas

3x oranges

1x avocado

3x mandarines

1x rockmelon

1x ruby red grapefruit

It had a range of days that you could have your produce delivered listed online, but as it was Michael again, it was actually a Wednesday delivery. I was hanging out for this box after my severe disappointment by The Organic Butler. Low and behold, this box had wonderful variety and a range of things for me to eat straight away.

The good: The bananas came in a range of ripeness. The grapefruit was a welcome surprise, I forgot how much I enjoy them. Grapes were amazing. Everything here was great.

The bad: The nashi pears were wrapped in polystyrene protections. I don’t like that sort of disposable stuff, and if anything, I think the avocado needed the protection more than the nashi pears!

The ugly: Um, no ugly here? Except for the rockmelon once again going off, which was entirely my fault. No more rockmelon buying for me.

The final verdict: I’m still loving this box. Only 3 more boxes to try before I can come back to it! I haven’t yet decided if I should also trial the home delivery services of Coles and Safeway…

This is my fourth/eighth fruit box review!
